Defiantly Attacking

Artwork - 3D WIP
Hello all. I decided to make my first more personal
blog entry today along with a cool update.
First of all, I've uploaded into the 3D WIP section renders of my Defiant class model, which references both the title of this entry and my facebook status. The model in my opinion looks pretty good, especially since it is low poly. The defiant, if people don't notice, has some curves that intersect on the bottom and around the engines. If anyone knows anything about computer modeling, creating smooth, low poly, intersecting, three dimension curves can be a bitch. The larger images can be viewed in the directory www.omega-fleet.com/images/ if you don't like the gallery, which I am slowly disliking every day.
Second of all, I got a hair cut. For those who know me, that is a big deal. I would take a minute to talk about what getting a hair cut means to me. It has two, separate and ironically contradicting meanings. I'll start with the meaning that makes sense only to me, and then move onto the one that contradicts it. First, in my Tarken novel, only one character ever cuts his hair, and that is when he is going completely insane and under the influence of corruption. It showed his resolution to destroy what he believed to be the corruption that spread through out the Tarken Network. The character is based off me, so it seemed logical I follow in his footsteps, since I have been lately. Secondly, I wanted to make a statement about how absolutely pointless image is. A person can look like one stereotype when be a completely different person. I wanted to show this by cutting my hair, a staple of who I am, and show that even though my hair is cut, I am still the same person. This is even more relevant because I'm going to college, where people are of course going to be judging me based solely on my appearance at first. I just wanted to show people that no matter if the person looks Terran, Edenian or Tarken, it matters their morals, beliefs and behavior that makes them who they are. Not to mention it gets super hot in here the summer and I'm done with pulling my hair back.
So if anyone cares, they can read this. This belongs under personal, but the defiant I think is more important.
As the Dira says, Death, Destruction and Depression.
